Update flower bed

Well, to update my last blog...
Tuesday nite was supposed to freeze, so (for the first time this winter) I covered my plants. I put a big plastic tub on some of them, then gently laid a blanket on the others.

At this point, I notice Beau is really eyeing the blanket. He is a 8 year old, big, black lab. But, he LOVES his blanket, drags it around with him all the time.

Wednesday morning I realize the blanket was maybe not a good idea. Apparently Beau is not particularly partial to HIS blanket. Any blanket will do, especially a new one.

So, most of the baby plants survived the freeze, but the impatients did NOT survive a 100 lb dog on them.

What a beautiful day

I just wanted to write about our beautiful day in the Texas Hill Country. Today was so warm and sunny!!!!! I could have gone down to the river at my house, but I didnt want to push my luck (you know what starts coming out when it is warm!) I cleaned out my flower bed, planted new flowers, took a ton of pictures, and listened to some live, local music!!! What a day! Oh, and finished it off with a supper at my mom's house.
